I value the services provided by shredding machines ... but I'm such a klutz that I can never seem to feed sheets of paper into one without getting, like, every third page hopelessly jammed. : o
I'm tellin' ya, Nik, those pages of yours are going to be worth big bucks some day! Don't do it! :)
Isn't there something amazing about releasing all of that stuff, though? I always feel that way about things I've outgrown in some way, but still can't bring myself to get rid of. And then finally I do, and I think... why did I wait so long?
I think I've saved every last notepad for the last eighteen years. It's liberating to feel that words are something I can spend freely, instead of something to hoard.
Jeremy - send yr shreddables to me! it's my new hobby!
Shanna - oops! It's worth it just for the extra lightness ...
I relate to both the tendency to save/hoard things and also the considerable, even surprising, feeling of liberation upon relinquishing such things. I have not done it with my file cabinet of writing-related notes, but I have done it in other areas and was surprised by the intensity and freedom of the feeling.

Wow.
I don't know if I could do that.
Feels good. Trust me!
I'm with you Craig. I save just about everything.
